Of course it didn't help at all that Herbie immediately editorialized the play...calling it "selfish" numerous times. Thank God we don't have to take the talking heads interpretations as gospel - if that were the case, Sheppard's catch would be an interception for Bama! Things aren't always what they seem at first glance...and of course Herbie and a lot of others are ripe to pass judgment because of the recent suspension and the whole Honey Badger craze – which TM7 did not initiate. If you want to make an objective assessment, watch the video with the sound off. That way you don't have the talking heads whining their knee-jerk assessments in your ear. The ref. on the field clearly made the correct call.

Funny, I didn't see our players limping around on the sideline all night. It was theirs. Oh, but Bama moved the ball on us at will in the first half. Funny how they only made it inside our 25 once all game. We were sitting at the 2 right before halftime. We were sitting inside the 25 another time in regulation, and made our game winning FG because it was a chip shot. Tell your coach that just because you make it across the fifty, that doesn't mean you're in FG range. The reason Bama missed so many FGs is because they have exactly ZERO kickers on the team that have the leg to make it from the distances they attempted. LSU chose to punt in those situations, pinning Bama inside their 5 twice with 35 yd punts. We can't help it if our coach is smarter than theirs.
