I thought it was a very good penalty. I felt like the *attempt* that tyrann made was to hit him in the chest to be legal, in other words, what happens in a position like that the position that the alabama man had was in front of tyrann and in position on the ball so what tyrann can't do is hit him in the back so tyrann goes running to the position to try to hit him in the chest and I think he hit him legally the issue became he got tied and held and I think that was exactly the call, it was a holding call.

the official calls it and sees it. he saw it better than i did, he said no he held. we talked to tyrann about it during the game.

I got *most* of it word for word except that last paragraph... I'd hate to have to listen to dictation from CLM on a daily basis... enough to drain your brain after about 5 minutes... ;p~

Well dayum! I didn't know that there was a poem out! Why didn't you just tell us that from the beginning.

That settles it then, TM7 is most definitely a thug.

You're right. Sorry for doubting you.

Because he fell down on this play. Matthiu did not hit him on the helmet. If he hadn't been hurt, no one would be talking about it. Players get hurt on legal plays all the time. It's a rough game.

Let me ask something. Are you maintaining that it occurred after the whistle? Or that it was a headshot? Or a clothesline tackle? Or that the helmet was grabbed? Because all of those things are personal fouls.

But holding a guys shoulder pads is not a personal foul. It is holding. And no one has called it an "innocent holding call". It was flagrant holding and unnecessary . . . it just wasn't a personal foul.

What I saw was TM7's arm get caught on the camera wire which caused it to be thrust into Dre's shoulder pad which then made the cord catch Dre's helmet and concuss him.

what if the technique is to get his arm around to the front to get himself in front of the other guy, i'm sorry it didn't look dirty to me, it looked like he was trying to get in front of kirkpatrick to make a legal block.

Ok, good to know, the SEC Official's take on how to approach Roughing the Passer. If Eric Reid or TM7, from now on, uses momentum to sack the Quarterback, even after the ball is released, then it is a no-call.

Give me a break, that was roughing the passer. I might view it differently if Hightower kind of pushed him down or used JLee to stop his momentum but he was intent on "slaughtering" JLee.

You see what I did there?

Which is not against the rules. :insane: That was a shot to the head/neck from behind... It is against the rules as far as I know...

Slaughtered? He got held by his shoulder pads! When did the Bama team become such wusses? - No, he got pummeled in the head/neck area... Do you really think he blacked out, and had a concussion from being held on the shoulder pads?

    Tappy,

While in the speed and emotion of the game, it seemed dirty even to me, on second look this picture shows that TM clearly hit him on the shoulder. He was nowhere near DK's head/neck.

Behind means nothing. And it was NOT A SHOT TO THE HEAD. I challenge you to produce a photo that shows that.

Watch the video. He fell down on his back, hit his head on the turf and rolled over the top of his head.
