I am a LSU fan through and through but I have to say Mathieu shut your mouth and play football until you can back what you say up. The crap you have pulled over the past couple of weeks leaves you no room to talk smack to anybody. You can't cover wideouts or tight ends. What has me upset about you is the CHEAP SHOT you took in the game last night, and that's all it was, a CHEAP SHOT. That could have tarnished a great night for the Tigers. That for sure is not what this team is about and I hope some of the Leaders and coaches grabed your butt and let you have it. There is nothing wrong with being aggressive in your play but don't resort to those type of things. That is not aggressive that is just stupid. That could have turned the game around for them especially if that player would have been seriously injured. We have a long way to go and there is no room for any of that stuff. Sorry but that is how I feel. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!:LSU231:

    Welcome to the forum.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion...but perhaps you should get over this penalty and enjoy the win?

You're apparently blind, there was no cheap shot. See the other thread on this and you'll find the ONLY part of him that touched Kirkpatrick was his hand on the shoulder. A stupid penalty yes, a cheap shot? Whatever you say gump.

As far as trash talking, it goes both ways..players will always trash talk, some more then others, but its just another way to get "the upper" hand. It forced bama into some mistakes..i.e. the false start on Maze, and they forced us into a dumb penalty. If you notice its mostly guys in the skill position that talks the most trash.

As I mentioned it wasnt a cheap shot, he didnt try to hurt him.
It was a "Stupid" shot, and I am also growing very weary of TM7's jawing and yakking.
Shut up and play with Poise and dignity. You already got yourself suspended once.
I think he is an amazing player but he clouds it by acting like an idiot sometimes.

I am sorry, I maybe I am old. But what makes me happiest is when our team dominates an opponent and doesnt say a word. Just hands the ball to the official, walk off quietly or extend a hand to the player you just planted in the dirt and say "Good play"

Again maybe I am old but I do get embarrassed when I see our players jawing to a player even more so when they gave up an 8 yard gain.
I know football is a game of emotion and yes I did play football so I get it. But play with class.

I am also old fashioned and would rather one's actions speak rather than one's words but, I will admit, that if you can take the concentration away from the opponent or get into his head, they are more apt to make a mistake. So there may be some effectiveness in this. I still don't like it.
