I disagree. Mathieu is a competitor. People like that hate losing and want to win even if it's just checkers with a family member.
I agree. There is nobody (and I mean nobody) else in the NFL could make that play. His instincts are incredible.
Best defensive player ever to play at the collegiate level. Now if he can do it at the NFL level. That would be sweet.
A nose for the football. Nine out of ten backs would have made a flying dive for his ankles. Ganja Badger always goes for the football. If I'm an NFL receiver I make sure which side of the field Mathieu is on and carry the football in the other arm.
I am very glad he's starting to make waves in the pros, despite his handicap in size and weight. Heck of a dynamic and exciting player to watch. True to form his nickname as "The Honey Badger".
I haven't read the entire thread, so it may have already been mentioned, but Eric Reid had a pick today as well.
Tyrann Mathieu makes another clutch tackle, denying the Lions' their critical first down, effectively ending the game with a Cardinals win. Mathieu & LSU got the mention!!! Way to go, TM32!
