    I just realized that the Honey Badger is the most recognizable face in college football.

    He is probably the most famous football player ever out of LSU. Perhaps the most famous out of LSU in any sport.... Shaq may be the exception. What do y'all think?

    Shaq by far is the most famous LSU alum. BY FAR. He does Buick commercials has his own shows, has won multiple titles.
    Not even close. Honey Badger is just the news of the day.

    it may be matt flynn after this year but thats a pretty great question. billy cannon was too long ago so hes out.

    it may be jamarcus currently but no one cares anymore.


    cant say patrick peterson because most here wouldnt even recognize him.

    tommy hodson and burt jones are only recognized locally and barely so they are out.

    im basing my opinion on a national view.

    Just a sign o' the times. The information age we live in. If the 24 hour news cycle were around in Shaq's day who knows what he would dig up. The public would probably know all about how much time he spent on Southern's campus picking up co-eds...

    Shaq is far and away the most famous and recognizable figure that is very associated with LSU.

    Maravich is still recognizable and associated with LSU and his records still stand. Joann Woodward is certainly recognizable but is rarely associated with LSU. Hubert Humphrey was only here for a year and a half in grad school, so I don't count him. Huey Long wasn't a graduate, but he is damn sure recognizable and associated with LSU. Cannon, Pettit, Tittle, Tinsley, McClendon, Brown, and Generals Troy Middleton and Claire Chenault were huge in their day.

    Anyway, I was talking to this Bama fan (I know, right?) and he agreed that TM7 is far and away the most recognizable face in college football today.
