Zone blocking schemes are exactly what they sound like. Just like in a zone pass defense, the blocker has responsibility for an area rather than a particular defender. Whoever comes into that area is the blocker's responsibility. It can be confusing to some linemen, especially when they are first learning it.

He was raised in the Houston, TX suburbs, so that will help with recruiting Texas.
