    I love Tyger Gifts. When I come home to NOLA, they are a definite stop for me. But this week they have been pissing me off.

    All week they have been selling SEC Championship merchandise. Now, they will not send it until we win, but the fact that they have had this stuff up for sale all week kills me. Remember when the OU Championship shirts leaked in 2003? Remember how pissed off it made our fanbase? Remember how someone got a hold of one and showed it to the team?

    I get that they are trying to make a buck, but there needs to be some kind of common sense here.

    technically, they are the sec regular season champions, just not the championship game champions. they had these shirts on sale at the lsu gift store next to mikes habitat immediately after the arky game. it was advertised on the big screen in tiger stadium.

    that's probably what these shirts are. not seccg shirts. i know, fine line, but lsu was making buck off of them before the stadium was clear last friday.

    edit: i cant see the fine print on the shirt so i am not 100% sure it is the same one, but it looks like what they showed on the big screen.

    That's the same thing they did when the basketball team won the SEC a couple years back.

    The difference is that the SEC actually recognizes both a regular season champion and a tournament champion in basketball. There is no championship in football unless you win the SECCG.

    Which the Tigers will.

    This happens for every bowl game or championship game. They print stuff up early for both teams. Georgia has their stuff printed too as does any other Championship Game participant. It's not exclusive to LSU. The losing teams stuff winds up in Bangladesh on migrant workers and Nike slave labor factories.

    We had LSU and Oklahoma National Champions stuff in our warehouse at the NO airport in 2004. Only one batch got picked up and sold here. :wave: :tigereye: :champs:

    So these shirts won't go on sale till sunday. That sucks. Give me another store. The only other shirt I can find that says LSU champions is in white. I don't do white.
