Some of the bowl matchups this yr are a joke. Nothing that a good playoff system couldn't fix. UConn, really, Neb vs Wash (part II) are you kidding.
THere are, indeed, some shocking matchups. Seems Boise State got "dissed" big time, not that they do not deserve it. I feel like we are in good shape, but those early bowls, Y G T B S M! hwr
I disagree that they derserve it. Sure, they were overrated, but they were a 20 yd FG from an undefeated season, and a BCS bowl worth millions. Now, they are relegated to the LV Bowl? I would argue they were screwed bigtime, and deserve to be in a better bowl than that. One of the worst matchups is Nebraska v Wash. Neb beat them something like 45-7. They win nothing beating them again esp if it is much closer. The game will be boring if it is a blowout win again, and if Wash upsets them, what does that really prove? Neb v Iowa would have been much more appropriate but Neb's change in conference affiliation is playing a role and why the Big 12 screwed them with this effort. Tusk points out several of the less than interesting matchups in what looks to be a lackluster bowl season for the most part. I really like LSU v A&M though. That is a good matchup geographically, team wise, bowl type, etc, IMO.
