Edwards usually bases things on the hear and now. Was he asked what it would take OSU to jump bama?

Tusk, you should cite to those polls you speak of when you state that everyone in the country wants a rematch. I am curious to see that. I think a lot of people outside of the Southeast do not want to see a rematch.

Check CBSports.com and msnbc sports. They have an interactive poll going on gauging the national pulse on this very subject.

The question will be . . . why didn't they get a chance to play with LSU? They also have a single loss and haven't already been beaten by LSU in their home stadiums.

Pesky facts doesn't bother a gump. To him, only bama can beat bama. The national championship game should be the
    bama spring game every year.

If VT and OSU win next week someone will still be wondering, unless LSU wants to give them both a crack at it, or they can figure out how to get in the same CCG. I'm fine with the BCS solving this and in the final analysis leaves little to speculate about.

But many are trying to reconcile what the CCG is asking LSU to do and what the BCS is designed to do. One has absolutely nothing to do with the other. If the CCG was really a playoff game we would be settling this next week.

Man, it IS a playoff. The "Game of the Century" decided the West Division champ. That was round 1 of the playoff and Bama lost. Round 2 is the SECCG, in which Bama had already been eliminated. So WTF are they doing in the round 3 BCSNC championship game? :insane:

The day the NCAA was serving that soup, I wasn't buying. Maybe in your world the regular season is a one and done, but even the CCG makes room for a rematch. If Bama was in the east division, this would be settled next week. That wouldn't be a playoff either, merely another coincidence.

    Thanks Cliff

Big game for us and getting it done on their grass makes it special. But then you know the feeling.
