I don't think anyone believes Okie St. or VT can play with this Bama team. If the rematch is as good as the first one, there will be no complaints, either way. BCS has only one job, get the most competitive game possible. Not rocket science this year.

As you know, the AP poll is being discussed even now and yes, these myriad of sportswriters of impeccable integrity, are clamoring, yes demanding for a rematch by rewarding Bama secondary status in their fine poll.

 

I like our chances Jan 9 no matter who we play. I think both teams knew that LSU was stronger at the end and Bama was worn down. Next time we won't let it be close.

For argument's sake the unfairness is that we get nothing for winning and Bama gets benefit for losing. Look into your self and answer 2 Simple questions Tusk

1) if the shoe were on the other foot ie LSU lost to Bama 6-9 in OT in TS and all else remained the same would you think a rematch should be held.

2) If Bama wins Jan 9 in similar fashion would you be open to a rubber match Jan 16?

If LSU's close victory isn't enough to eliminate UAT from NC why shouldn't LSU get the same benefit?
