In that scenario, I want each of us to play one of the others, just to shut the damn naysayers up. Combined score would be about 100-35. Us 2 playing any 2 of OkState, OU, Boise, Stanford. That said, I wouldn't mind a rematch.
I think the media and the fans get the huge gulf in talent that has followed the 3rd best team this year. If there is another undefeated BCS team out there to play LSU, the Tigers steamroll through and no one should second guess it. But Alabama and LSU would make for one nasty NC game in New Orleans. I don't think any other one loss BCS team can create that kind of buzz.
I'm in total agreement with that. This would be a great year for a tourney. The other 3 that I mentioned would get crushed, and we would play y'all again.
This is a big reason why I like this forum. There is a huge well of football knowledge, analysis & insight. Y'all could get hired by ESPN for your knowledge & insight; I could maybe get a job writing joke material for them.....
That's about right! Boise State is about a really good pitch & catch team positioned against lesser opponents, year in & year out. 'SmashMouthFootball' is something their coach would have to Google.....
I agree with the OU comments. I just wonder if OU is 2 in both polls, and bama is 3, will the computers still have bama so high that they win in the BCS point total. If the voters really want this, they better drop bama to 4. A rematch would would be wrong.
Bama's only OOC quality win is about to crash and burn after the events of this week. That will not help them with the computers.
