What did they give up against Kansas State, 45 points? Don't blame you, cause by now Gundy has to be well over 40 and he still ain't man enough to get that done.

OSU has a monster WR and a nice QB with NO D !

LSU would ball control and knock the crap out of these guys. I think they would get some points but I think it would be close to the LSU game against The Ohio State team in 07.

    come on Cowboys !!!!

don't think Stanford gets by the Ducks

I tend to agree but if that scenario plays out we'll have to be careful not to let this be another Utah for the SEC.

Most here didn't believe me last year when I was saying Oregon would give Auburn a lot to handle and it would be a close game.

It would be a lesson of gigantic proportions in the art of fundamental power football and would provide an object lesson on why it's good to take the time to recruit top notch defensive players.

Just not sure about Stanford's speed on D. Could struggle to match up with the duckeroos again. Best chance, Luck gets "white hot."

IDK. The computers may be able to work thru an algorithm that could re-match LSU-Bama, but the human polls will likely not want another pair of low-scoring defensive 'Rope-A-Dope' Ali-Frazier slugfests. The human factor wants break-out offense, long down-field passes, beaucoup de touchdowns, PP7 (& PP21)-style runbacks, etc.

Just as TV has nearly wiped out "Saturday Night in Death Valley," so too will it dictate the eventual match-up in NOLA. It's all about selling commercial air-time anyway. So sorry!

    Tusk,

Really interested to get your feelings on this. If things do play out the way I'm thinking they will: LSU and Bama both win out this year, the Ducks take down the Lucks this weekend and Okie beats Okie Light in a couple weeks. The rematch would be on. IF Bama were to beat LSU in a close NC game. each team would have one loss (with Bama's coming at home) and LSU would have more wins. Would Bama have a legit claim to the crown?

An LSU fan is not seriously asking this question are they?

Red says ONLY the winner of the BCS Title game has ANY claim to a National Title. Any other previous standards are moot. I must add that most LSU fans have embraced this mindset and don't hold the AP in any legitimacy.

If the BCS doesn't respect their championship game as the final word, they are undermining this mess again. Which is kinda OK with me, I want a 16 team playoff. but if I'm LSU, I would want all this next year.
