So, for example, you don't root for Auburn when by winning it helps LSU? I also don't see the problem in supporing a fellow state/conference school when it has no bearing on LSU, but whatever...
I apologize for leaving out the one exception to this rule (did you HAVE to use Auburn for this example? ) . you are allowed to root for a rival when it benefits your team. I have no problems with people pulling for other state schools (and to a lesser extent, other SEC schools). Myself personally, I have a hard time forgetting that this very schools fans curse us, hate us, hope we completely collapse, acted like they invented college baseball when they beat us in Supers back in '01, still use the motto "Long live 1982" (last time they beat us in football), pray for our ultimate demise, etc. etc. so sorry, but I ain't rootin' for 'em.
"Long live 1982"...that's funny and sad for them! (26 years ago) :hihi: I wonder if they remember how the game in 1984 ended. The last 40 seconds or so weren't played after the fight broke out. TooLame lost both...:hihi:
i have no problem with people refusing to rooting for tulane under any circumstances, just as i have no problem rooting for them (as long as they are not playing lsu) since i am married to a greenie. as long as the discussion is civil, its to each his own. now if someone is rooting against lsu, i might toss the civility part out the window.:hihi: and yes, when the two play each other, it gets quite interesting around here.
Top of the 5th... Runners at 2nd & 3rd... One out... FSU 6 - Tulane 0 Lightning delay began @ 8:52 p.m. EST but should end soon.
at 8:30 central, i was told by greenie that the game is to resume in 10 mins. so approx 8:40 central time.
