That makes absolutely no sense. How can a suspension from one entity -- the NFL -- prevent contact with an entirely different entity -- the NCAA? That's like somebody saying, "Well, I understand your wife left you, but you can't go out with other women either." I'm not a big conspiracy theorist (other than the JFK assassination, Bigfoot, spaceships, Elvis and Jim Morrison, that is ) but it damned sure sounds like Czar Roger is out to sink the Saints.
Seems pretty clear that Goodell told him if he was on college campus's it could be construed as a form of scouting players for the draft. I doubt he told him unequivocally not to do it but I'm sure Payton understands that it's not worth the risk.
Because Goodell is God. He is the alpha and the omega and makes decisions no matter what anyone else feels. I can't stand that guy, hope he gets herpes.

Maybe Goodell is an alien. Although, conspiracy works too LOL This mess is old, and what sucks is that it will last all season long because the media will keep finding some new dirt and BS to shovel up.
