So I guess he will currently make about 2.7 mil next year. I'm sure this may interest Les since there was some mention of his contract being tied to the 3 highest paid coaches in the SEC, as well as the 3 highest in the nation.

Now I can rest easy. I really didn't get worried until yesterday when someone close to the situation expressed less than unwavering assurance that this would get done.

This just goes to show you how much they want to beat BAMA. They will pay him anything to stay, because he can beat BAMA. He has a good record, and I believe he is a very good coach, but he has only won one SEC Title. I think this contract will come back to haunt them. Let him have one bad year, including a loss to Saban, and then see what they think of this contract.
