Its a gamble but one or more teams without immediate need might be willing to take on the unknown. The draft payday isnt quite what it used to be and he will likely get a reduced guarantee. That said, he goes back to Bama, then the extent of his recovery will be known after next season for good or bad. He is still projected first round. Bird in the hand vs...

Payton has shown a propensity for drafting gumps. Wouldnt surprise me if he might take a shot if Tuas still on board that late.

If he's still there, the Saints will definitely pull the trigger on Tua.

Don’t wish that on the Saints ...
No NFL team in their right minds should take a Frankenstein with that much foreign metal in his body ...

Mark This: Tua will NEVER make a splash at the next level ...

Reason: He’s too fragile and injury prone ...

Another point: You do understand now that one of his legs is longer than the other and he’s gotta learn to run all over again ...

To the greater glory of Saban ... He’ll sell high $$$ cars with his dad and be crimson celebrity

My take is it's a huge gamble for him to come back. Personally, I think his best days are behind him. Maybe he knows that as well and why this is now a thing?

If he comes back and stinks then he has no chance of getting drafted.

If I were a general manager, I wouldn't risk using a draft pick within the first 4 rounds on Tua. And I wouldn't feel bad about it if I turned out to be wrong about the decision not to draft him earlier.

Read somewhere that Tua and his team are evaluating his loss of draft value policy, a policy that has never paid off, ever. Congrats on the purchase.

I have no idea how Tua is going to recover and what his prognosis may be. I also don’t know the contours of any insurance policy he may or may not have. So, looking at this straight up and without having all of those facts, which means I don’t know jack, I would say take whatever guaranteed money you can get so you are able to get something out of your career. Will be interesting to see how any potential deal with him will be structured.
