Maybe I'm geeking out, but it's one of those procedures that been fun to follow. It's not new. It's in the Andrew's and his knee operations success category when we're talking about how it changes the high ankle sprain. The guy's name is Waldrop. Jalen dealt with the same thing. Remember? He could have pushed harder. Didn't, but there's a story line there. As to Tua. While the procedure improves the ankle, it really doesn't mask pain. It's there. And, in this year's case, it'll be there. Here's where the bullshit is so profound in what Ramah posts. Last year, in a knee brace ... remember? Back to mind set. It's fair to say that's a given. Right? We know where we are, as fans, looking at Tua. One of those internet searches you might find interesting is the zero gravity machines these guys are in post op. With less swelling than last year's surgery that time table was moved up. He was in a boot this weekend that was precautionary. People can have their "but what does that mean" to this scenario and think about the attention placed on him last year traveling. He won't be 100%. I expect to see lhim limping, rewrapped in the tent, etc. It'll be a tough ball game. I'm not worried about a blocking tight end. Is Aranda rushing seven? Non blitz pressure. Non blitz pressure. It's what makes LSU's offense have its hiccups.
So he had the same procedure before the natty on the other ankle (he was reportedly 80% at that game). Still I think he plays and plays through it. I think he shows up and is 70-80% and we win regardless. Then the spin cycle happens and the gumps get into the CFP even with a weak ass schedule.
Smack talking after a win is classless. You have your fun before the game- have a pair. After the game you extend a hand- win or lose- and grab a beer together.
I think it will be a colossal mistake to put Tua out on that field if he's not 100%. And there is no way possible that he will be anywhere close to 100%. If they are smart, they give all the first team reps to the backup QB.
Ask yourself: 1. How bad was Tua needed for the piggies? 2. How bad was Tua limping going to the sidelines and afterwards? 3. Were the rumors true that Tua had his other ankle enhanced in the off season? (Heard that a job was lost when leaked) 4. How much prep time has Coach O dedicated to scheming for 2 QBs? 5. How much of the game will be decided on a half dozen super critical plays? Then again is CNS a big enough evil genius to orchestrate something like this?
