I have been offered free tickets to LSU-UAB by a guy whose son is also in a wheelchair (for those that don't know, mine is, too). He said they're father-son handicap tickets. I've never heard of such a thing, but it doesn't surprise me. Does anybody know where the handicap accessible seating is in TS? I also need to know where the handicap parking is and what time to show up to make sure I get a spot. Any information is appreciated.
There is both prepaid and game-day parking for handicapped fans. http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=27815&SPID=2164&DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=205424861 The handicapped seating in the North End zone is in the box seats right at field level. The view isn't good for the field, but great for the cheerleaders and the plays at that end of the field. And its right below Tiger Band. Mike the Tiger always comes around and poses and shakes hands with the handicapped kids. I think they also put some handicapped seats in the new upper decks with elevator access.
Man, @red55 do you have all of those web pages on macros on your computer or something? I'd actually like to play a game of Stump @red55 when it comes to LSU info. You're deadly dude.
I really appreciate it, Red! Can you believe the little snot doesn't even want to go? He'd rather stay home and play his Skylander or whatever. He hates football. Well...he's going anyway! LOL
lol Attack Tiger ... if there is a possibility for football love in him, going to a live game may make it spring to life! I know my first love was baseball after getting to go to a Dodger game as a child.
Focus on Mike the Tiger, The Golden Girls, his favorite place to eat, etc. Let him see the big picture. Seriously, give him so space and don't force feed it to him. A person can not like football but still enjoy the gameday experience at TS. My daughter and a bunch of friends are going and only plan to tailgate outside stadium. I mentioned I could probably land her some cheap (free to her and her BF) tickets and she did seem somewhat intrigued.
