And I disagree, we do it your way and the country is grade A screwed and will be run by the whack-a-doodles in Mexifornia
The only problem with this thought is that the Presidential election is every 4 years. Midterms and initiatives get voted on more often and even with the 4-year Presidential gap, CA has a ridiculous amount of props to vote on. We had something like 18 last November? I've been beat up on this issue for so long that sometimes I wonder whether voting for President matters because the state is killing me and I live day-to-day Cali shit far more often.
In some regards you already do it our way. Look what's coming.... "Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael, said he is introducing a bill to require the State Board of Education to develop curriculum to ensure “all California students will learn how the Russian government conspired to influence the United States Presidential Election to elect Donald Trump,” according to his office..... Levine said if California requires state curriculum to include the information, other states would likely follow suit.“California is the largest textbook market in the nation,” he said. “Textbooks approved in our state are used throughout the country.” Through this legislation,” he said, “we can make sure students in California and across the United States receive accurate information about the 2016 Presidential election." http://www.sfgate.com/education/article/Bill-would-require-teaching-of-California-10863903.php
I dont like to think negative, but I just dont see how our country isn't split down the middle at some point. To me, none of these liberal ideals and arguments make any logical sense. I search my inner most thoughts to try and understand how they rationalize their arguments, but I come up blank.
Maybe, maybe not. As I said I know voters of all stripes who get discouraged living in a state where the outcome is not at all in question. I'm sure potential Louisiana Republican voters sat this election out knowing that their guy was taking the state. Almost four million people voted for Trump in CA. Yet, in this winner-take-all process, it's as if they don't count for anything. So, if you're a Republican in CA, you'd probably feel marginalized. You'd feel like your vote did nothing to help elect DJT. To that voter, and anyone who felt powerless within their own state, I'd want to tell him that his vote counted every bit as much on the national level as the Hil voters that condescended him.
No shit homey. I was looking for a good place to include that story and there you were. Get in line, now and go get your lunch.
