When they put weed in a liquid vial they completely changed the game. No more standing around in a circle in the backyard. It is like the no huddle offense. Spread out and pass it around anywhere you want.

Unless it causes cannabinoid hyperemesis .

Are there medicinal uses? Sure. Are there also unintended health side effects? Yes. If it's basic cannabis for healing, then put it in pill format and go for it. The truth is, the majority of people using it are wanting to get high. They want to smoke it. Be a doper if you want but don't pretend the push for legality is about medical treatment. Snoop has been pushing that bullshit for years and we all know he's nothing but a doper.

And what exactly is wrong with that? Is this America or is this Singapore? It does have medical uses, when you see a kid with that has 30 seizures a day and pot makes them have zero how can you be against it. And the last thing we need is for some pharmaceutical company to come in and make some bullshit pill.

Even dopers can have legitimate health issues for which marijuana is beneficial. Produce it both ways: In a pill form for those who don't want to get high or can't for reasons of their job (airline pilots, for example) and for those who want the pleasurable effects as well as the medicinal. For some people suffering from anxiety or sleep disorders the buzz and the medical reasons are the same.

Exactly. Would you rather be prescribed a natural plant for anxiety or Xanax? Xanax's negative side effects are far worse than pot. Would you rather be prescribed oxy or pot for pain relief? I mean come on this is no brainer shit.

But you have no problem with people consuming alcohol?

I recently met a friend of a friend who was passing through town. He is a Vietnam vet and has pain issues. He makes marijuana butter and uses it just like regular butter on his pancakes, toast or whatever else he uses butter for and says it's the only thing that helps his pain.

And it does. I have a friend who was in a HumV that ran over an IED in Iraq. He was the only one to survive and he is a mangled version of his former self. He could continue to illegally purchase pot, or move to Colorodo, or get addicted to OxyContin. He chose to move to Colorado.

Dopers are always so oversensitive. There is no 100% cure for epilepsy-caused seizures. Cannabidiol has shown to be effective in about 1/3 of those diagnosed. Here's what the NYU study actually did:

researchers treated 162 patients with an extract of 99 percent cannabidiol (CBD), a nonpsychoactive chemical in marijuana, and monitored them for 12 weeks. This treatment was given as an add-on to the patients’ existing medications and the trial was open-label (everyone knew what they were getting).

The researchers reported the intervention reduced motor seizures at a rate similar to existing drugs (a median of 36.5 percent) and 2 percent of patients became completely seizure free. Additionally, 79 percent of patients reported adverse effects such as sleepiness, diarrhea and fatigue.

So I never said there was anything wrong with it. I said be honest about it and you can't seem to do that. It's not a miracle cure. It is what it is, just like a lot of other drugs. Benefits AND harms. I hate big pharma as much as anyone but it doesn't mean people should begin self-diagnosing and treating particularly when it comes to children. I can just see some idiot parent whose child has a seizure and decides they'll just give them cannabis only to find out the seizures were from a tumor.

I don't disagree with you. I could also say that for some people with anxiety or sleep disorders, cannabis can actually make those symptoms worse. I know some vets who tried pot and it produced a psychosis.

Oversensitive. I already said I didn't care if you or anyone wants to be a doper. It's your business. I have a problem with people who abuse anything, including alcohol and prescription medication. Just like marijuana, there are a smaller percent of people who use it for another purpose but overall people drink or smoke because they want to get high.

If he uses it to alleviate pain, I'm all for it. I'd be even more on board for him to get the help and outreach to deal with the aftermath of glory. He isn't mangled just on the outside. And pot won't fix what's mangled on the inside.

I am being honest. I can't help it if you see it differently.

    I never said it was.

Most parents would have already have had the child examined and tested by a physician and or specialists and had all kinds of tests run. Sure, there are some irresponsible
idiots. Idiots are everywhere. I heard of a woman who gave her baby Nyquil because the awake baby kept her up all night.

To each his own. It's not for everybody but for those who benefit from it it's wrong to deny it.
