Texas doesn't tax alcohol, either that or it's built into the price. Texas doesn't have a state tax either. Texas has been doing something right for a very long time. It's most run by republicans but a lot of those republicans work with democrats. I've thought long and hard about moving back to DFW. No shortage of work, my biracial family wouldn't get unpleasant looks everytime we go somewhere in public, better schools (still not amazing, but better) better economy, better doctors.
So what's stopping you if you can find a job with at least equal pay as your present employment. When I hear about people moving to Colorado for the medicinal pot I wonder what kind of work the guy does to be able to afford to move.
