Right, but the specifics the Dems were asking for were already public info, as listed in the report. The Repubs were asking him to clarify and explain, the Dems just asked for him to confirm what is already known.

Four points. I don’t expect most Republicans will agree. I think:
    1) the Dems were doing math or logic. If A then B if B then C if C then D. They were using the report for A,B, C and trying to get Mueller to state D. They did not get much, and I think he subsequently “clarified” a remark where he did do a D.
    2) He had a great opportunity to say I gave Congress a roadmap. . . I don’t think he got there.
    3) his answer saying the Counter-Intelligence investigation is still ongoing, was a surprise
    4) another big point, that I don’t see being addressed, is that he did not subpoena Trump since he had enough without taking the time and expense to go through the courts. That was huge.

Overall, I would say a win for the GOP.

Oh, one more thing. The folks that watch CNN/MSNBC will get their edited/spun takes and those that watch Fox will get their desired spin.

I read an article that said he appeared to be dazed & confused. Isn't that the case with all politicians?

I don't have a problem with any of this. He said from the beginning that he wasn't going to give anyone anything beyond what is in the report, and he stuck to that. The Dems think the report is enough to convict, so by getting RM to say "that's correct" over and over again, they think they won, when the truth is, we don't know a single thing this afternoon that we didn't know yesterday. They lost, and to that extent, the GOP won, but they really didn't get anything either. They wanted to prove the investigation was a witch hunt, and they didn't get that, because RM refused to answer their questions on the procedures of the investigation. Their frustration was evident. On the other hand, they did get to make some of the points on their own by using some of their time to pontificate rather than question. To sum up, the whole thing was a dog and pony show.
