and then the dude goes on cnn and praises Trump. Could this be another great ploy by our next presidento? Stealing the news using a sacrificial lamb?
IF Trump doesn't start doing (and saying) things that appeal to middle of the road independents as opposed to things that are loved by his Republican faction it won't really matter.
I honestly don't think he can help himself. How many times have we heard the narrative that we are about to see a new Trump or he's about to go into general election mode? I can think of 4-5 times off the top of my head. Yet, two days, three days or a week later he is at again. I just do not think he has the temperament to be President. His rhetoric plays well to an angry electorate in the primaries but he has to be more cerebral in the general and I don't know if he has the capacity for it. Further, it's like the Trump bad news of the day now.....dumped his campaign manager, found out he only has 1.3 million in the coffers, etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Republicans say enough is enough and decide to remove him at the convention....knowing that it will cost them this election but hoping to salvage the party for years to come. I'll admit in the past 2-3 weeks, I have actually felt sorry for my Republican friends. A month ago they all wanted to talk to me and tell me how their guy was catching up and was going to take the election. Now they avoid the conversation altogether and when, or if, I mention it they just shake their head and say, "I don't know....." For a guy who enjoys a little political banter, this is no fun....picking on Trump almost feels like picking on the kids who ride the short bus.
