I just did little man....learn to read This is just downright funny. Again, in the absence of anything that even remotely make sense you move to stupid little insults that are completely unrelated to the topic at hand. This says a lot about your intellectual capacity but I don't know what else I should expect from a ground pounding army grunt. And so have I. You know nothing about me yet you've made many assumptions that are completely off base. Where you get pencil pusher from is beyond me but you are way off, pal. Look, in my experience the guy who turns to insults has usually lost the debate. So.....
Oh cry me a fucking river. I am a veteran too and Shane's little act like he's the only one whose ever been in combat makes me nauseated. In fact, I've never known anyone whose ever been in combat who likes to talk as much about it as Shane does. His whole "I did 12 months in the box" routine reminds me of Barney Fife.
In fact I do not. I didn't say "me" I was speaking about the pace that EVERY ONE will have to keep. Yes, I have been there and that is how I know 1. What I'm talking about and 2. That you don't have a clue. Go sharpen your pencils Richard
But shane ain't right. You know, woo hoo, yeah. When he rides his bike he makes a humming noise like it has a motor, shifting gears. Stuff like that. Mom said it ain't nice to pick on them kind.
And his comments have exactly what, to do with my facts? Powerful is quite a subjective word and it does not address the apathy of the troops, our inability to effectively engage on multiple continents, our aging resources, or the ever-changing ally formation. " Look, in my experience the guy who turns to insults has usually lost the debate. So....." Lol.
Your assumptions on behalf of all those who have served is.....bullshit opinion. Some do like to talk about it. Some need to. Perhaps if we quit promoting this notion of Serve, See, and Forget, we'd have healthier humans walking among us. Do some research into the subject of moral injury. And then come back with your faulty opinion and tell me that talking isn't healthy.
they contradict your notion that the military is weaker. it is not. i don't know that you will get a better authority on this issue unless, of course, you'd like to the chairman of the joint chiefs instead.
Sure they do....in the appropriate setting. When I got out I spent the better part of two years in group therapy with other vets so I don't need the lecture. That said, this is an internet chat forum and he started spouting off how he did 12 months in the box, etc. He was using his service to try and prove that the military is weaker and it simply is not. The two of you have collectively offered this much data to support your opinion: 0. I have given you quotes from the VC of the JC that directly contradict your opinion and you still are arguing that you are correct, in spite of the fact that every piece of data points in directly the opposite direction of your thoughts. I suppose this shouldn't surprise me given your history.
