I am not a Trump supporter. I despise pretty much the entire slate of candidates. The most overriding point of view that I have about this election, is that Clinton is truly a despicable human being and that if elected, she will damage this country in a way that we won't recover from it.

I hate saying it but I have come to believe that this country's greatest days are in the rear view.

Interesting point given that your entire post was anecdotal concerning your reasoning for why black people are going to vote for Trump. The beauty of this argument is that we will get a resolution in November.

Despite our differences, I hate to hear that you think our best days are behind us. If you don't like Clinton, fair enough, I'm not wild about her myself, but I will vote for her over Donald Trump all eight days of the week. Sadly for Republicans, the one year that you guys draw an opponent with record unfavorable marks you are going to end up with the one human on earth with considerably worse unfavorables.

It's not anecdotal at all. I've read several pieces about how Trump can and will go about courting the black vote.

"Economically, the division is beyond doubt, and Trump could exploit it if he chose to. According to the Census Bureau, the incomes of black households have long been considerably lower than the incomes of Hispanic households. In 2013, the former had a median income of $34,598, while the latter had a median income of $40,963, a difference of nearly 20 percent.

There is little doubt that immigration depresses the employment and wages of black men. A 2010 study by the economists George Borjas, Jeffrey Grogger and Gordon Hanson found that a 10 percent immigration-induced increase in the labor supply reduced African Americans’ wages by 2.5 percent and the employment rate among blacks by 5.9 percentage points.

Since the 1990s, academics have been studying the political and economic cleavage between blacks and Latinos. A 1997 study by sociologist Roger Waldinger found that employers in Los Angeles favored Latino over black workers, a situation reinforced by tense relations when the two groups worked side by side. A 2006 study by political scientists David O. Sears and Victoria Savalei found that even newly-arrived Latinos were better able to assimilate politically into the broader society than blacks who were still subject to a strict color line.

As a consequence, public opinion among a majority of working-class and middle-class African Americans supports a more restrictive immigration policy, according to a 2012 study by political scientist Tatishe Nteta. Gallupfound that 49 percent of African Americans think immigration worsens the availability of job opportunities for them, compared with 34 percent of non-Hispanic whites. A New American Media poll found that 51 percent of African Americans believe that Latinos are taking away jobs, housing and political power from the black community. In a 2012 Pew Research Center poll, 61 percent of blacks agreed that “the growing number of newcomers threaten traditional American values,” vs. 48 percent of whites."

I'm not a Republican. I am a registered Independent and have been for a long time. At this point, I would vote for just about anyone over Hillary. Doesn't really matter what I do anyway. California's electoral votes will all go to her.

It makes me sad to know that the greatness that was once America has disappeared. It's not coming back. Independence, freedom and ingenuity were the primary cogs. Where are they now? Freedoms are nothing more than a list of limitations and laws these days. For every freedom we once used to claim there are a group of people who are butt hurt over them. We are more dependent on other countries than we ever have been and China looks at us like their debt-bitch. People spend their time attached to electronic devices and we have become a large community of passive-aggressive couch potatoes. Makes me sad for my kids.

BTW, I'll be in NC mid-May. How's the weather that time of year?

In 2008 I said there is no way Obama would win. After 4 years of him screwing up I said the same thing in 2012.

Funny how we don't hear about this more often. Blacks don't like Latinos. Things Blacks say/feel about Latinos would be considered racist if whites said them about Blacks.

I know a couple of Cubans who don't like Mexicans. Also a black guy who hated Jindal not because he was a Republican but because he is an Indian.

I thought Jindal was a mutt. Like some Ahab the Arab, and summa some other things.

To hate on Indians though, wow. Indians are the ones who've gotten the shitty end of the stick. We took their land, put them on Reservations, etc. I was glad they got casinos and are taking back some money from you pale face phucks.
