Jesse Jackson once said that if he is walking down the street at night and somebody is walking behind him he is relieved to find out the guy behind him is white.

 

should we give free trade to our enemies? also are open borders even needed to have a symbiotic global economy any more?

 

one of the better things in life is when you have a friend that is black or Chinese or whatever, and you are friends to the extent you can mock them for their race. It's very relaxing when you can actually mock a person and not treat them like an inferior pussy who can't take it.

But yes, most of our "enemies" will be come less dangerous through economic interaction. Also China is not our enemy, neither is Vietnam.

 

A few days ago a mystery guy with a hoodie was outside the ATM, when I saw his eyes i could see I was safe, he was Asian. And it was really cold so the hoody was justified and not just a criminal uniform like it is in mild weather.

 

from a global standpoint, no. most people of other countries admire our history even if they are jealous in many ways. i agree, a prosperous china is much better than an angry, aggressive china. or any other country for that matter. but americans see china as the enemy to jobs and their very welfare. free trade dont mean shit when you're out of work and cant meet the mortgage.

A small percentage. But the percentage of criminals wearing hoodies is very high. I am not even making this up. I often listen to police radio in queens 114th precinct where I live and every suspect is described as a black or Hispanic in dark pants and a hoodie.
