I stopped posting here several years ago (I know my thing says I joined in '06 but I've been a member a lot longer than that), mainly because I got tired of the so called experts here who expect 18 year old kids to play like 30 year old NFL vets. I got tired of the constant negativity and the out of this world expectations year after year by people who more than likely couldn't throw a football if their life depended on it. I do expect constructive criticism but what I saw around here after the Washington game was embarrassing. I don't believe in sugar coating anything, but I also don't believe in people who were scared to lace up the cleats in high school only to think they know everything there is to know about football because they just do happen to follow LSU during the new found glory years. LSU will win and lose some close games, and god forbid if some of those games are against lesser opponents. I saw a post about style points, LOL. Guess what, it's college football and all you have to do is win. LSU is 1-0 right now, unfortunately that isn't good enough for a lot of fans here. You might as well jump on the USC bandwagon they could always use some more fair weather fans that like to align themselves with a powerhouse winner. Now I will go crawl back into my hole and just enjoy the games. They may not all be pretty wins but it sure beats the hell out of being the whipping boy for every team like we were in the 90s.
Me, I think this is a blessing in disguise...It's kept me off the roundtable forum where I was just getting into the "Cable vs. Satellite" thread or the "how to hook up a generator thread". I was REALLY ready for some football...that wait was painful...I was even posting about Sun Ra and his Solar Arkestra :lol:. I mean, come on, life is complete now....Right JayB :hihi:.
