Barkley was named the starter yesterday, first true freshmen qb in F-USC history to be named the starting qb, should be a good year for teams like oregon and cal, USC might not win their confrence title :geaux:

All I can say is...whoa. Certainly, he must be good, but sheesh. Oh, and I laugh at Mitch Mustain and his mom.

Actually, I may have to change my original opinion on that one.

This means one of 3 things:

    1) The kid is absolutely phenomenal.
    2) USC has some serious lack of QB issues.
    3) The Pac-10 is so easy even a true freshman can carve it up..

i saw him in the i guess it was under armor game, or was it the one the army puts on? He looked pretty damned good. He has a big arm, and is pretty accurate. That being said i still think they come out of Columbus with an L, but i think that game is going to be a snoozefest, with a 13 to 7 win or something like that.

You can't possibly be laughing as hard as I am. I try to remind myself that he's just a kid but man, could he have fumbled this situation any worse than he did. My opinion is, if you don't get pt at a big time D-1 school, you then go to an under the radar school that has a serious need at quarterback. You don't go to a school with the strongest history of QB play in the country. Hell, he wasn't even seriously in the conversation as starter this year. Arrogance is what killed him. He has basically no shot at the NFL now.

you are right, he was never in the conversation, it was always corp or barkley.
Mustain should have gone home, who knows, if he would have gone to Arkansas, maybe Mallet wouldn't have transferred there and he would be starting this year under an offensive genius.
