No team should throw too many stones, its a rough game and people throw punches sometimes. Mostly it's in the heat of the game, it's the sucker-punch that riled people up about Blount. Thank you. Glad someone else admits the obvious. If you have never played competitive sports or been in the heat of battle/ competition then you obviously cant understand and are quick to judge. The incident at the Titans practice posted above is the same thing. He didnt sucker punch anyone. He looked the guy straight in the face. The downfall to this trend is that oppponents know they can provoke him to react. He needs to control himself so not to cost his team during the game. I cant comment on his personal life and all that but what I see is a nasty, no nonsense football player. Not saying he doesnt need some refining but.....This is how things are in contact sports whether its football, basketball, soccer, boxing, etc......there are emotions involved and a never back down physicality of the game. This is also a unique aspect to American sports. Its what makes us a little different. I Just dont understand the backlash from a football player giving another player a little rap on the chin for running his mouth after winning. you dont kick a dog when its down and if you do then you may get snapped at.
I know you aren't talking to me, but if that were directed at me. First I would say, yes, I am high, and 2nd I agree Blount is a douchebag. 3rd I don't really think he planned to sucker punch the dude, the dude talked smack and put his hands on Blount, Chris Petersen recognizing that his player was WAY out of line, grabbed his player and by that time I think Blount's mind was already made up that he was going to drop that dude. Who deserved it by the way.
