I always pulled for Oregon for as long as I can remember. Probably because they were on late and ran a crazy offense which was fun to watch. But i surely didnt pull for them when I saw how arrogant Chip Kelly is during his interviews. Comes off as a complete tool. Even when getting his ass handed to him he cant seem to talk honestly about what is going on. I think his hubris is coming into play here and will bite him in his fat ass. its unfortunate for oregon.
I hope nobody gets bit. I think your being a bit unfair though, Chip has lost weight! Personally, I don't think he's that arrogant, more impatient than anything else. He doesn't like being interviewed, and he just wants to get it over with. I'll bet he mellows over time, remember he only has 2 years of head coach experiance Kelly is a strong leader, strong leaders don't always make you feel warm and fuzzy.
yes and some here didnt think nick saban was arrogant. because he was one of us at the time. chip kelly comes off worse during interviews. blame it on impatience or whatever but hes a prick. this trait doesnt bode well in these type situations and could be a reason he's in it to begin with. this arrogance as a leader is good when you are in control but he's treading water and fighting for his life now against a hypocritical and just as arrogant ncaa. given the mix of characters involved in this charade, its not going to end well for the quack attack I dont think. which sucks because its going to take a lot away from the opening game either way.
Yep. Two years in a row the opening game opponent is playing under a cloud. I'd much prefer to face a quality opponent, at full strength, with no off-the-field issues to distract from the game. To be the best you've gotta beat the best.
Could be, that you're right, I see your point. Hopefully, right now Chip is relaxing comfortably, feeling snug and safe, knowing everything is OK. He knows the situation from the inside. We don't know anything yet, all we can do is speculate over third hand reports.
Just as fast as I can! Using my crystal ball, this is how I see it playing out. I'm assuming that Chip Kelly hasn't lied to the NCAA. Oregon will be found guilty of violations, because it's somewhat unprecedented, and the NCAA rules aren't crystal clear regarding certain specifics, the sanctions against the Duck's will be moderate or less. The legal team Oregon has hired, has a method of operation, that they've used in earlier cases. *Total cooperation with the NCAA. *Exposes every type of violation found. *Sacrifices the guiltiest offenders, in exchange for leniency, lessor sanctions against the University *then assists the NCAA in clarifying and strengthening their rules The Duck's running back coach, Gary Campbell was the main recruiter in that region, and has most closely been linked to Lyles. In the past Campbell has been found guilty of violations by the NCAA, (Duck's had their wrist slapped) The University will retain Chip Kelly, if it's possible. Bottom line, Chip Kelly survives, Gary Campbell will be sacrificed on the alter. Some sanctions against the Ducks.
Yeh more class from the Oregon fans. Inbred... Hey boys ever heard that doozy from northern fans... Inbreds... Never heard that one before. Man really looking forward to tailgating with the ducks fans.. More of this can't wait. We may dislike our friends in the sec but at least we don't get this tired crap...
