Nothing? It gives us global communications and global logistics, it gives insight into everybody else's capabilities, it gives us access, influence, and intelligence. Try to see the big picture. Amigo, you don't know jack chit about international geopolitics.
I've seen Red agree on a number of military functions. I think we all can agree we wasted a ton of money since 9/11. The war being right or wrong is a different issue IMO.
When Has Obama invaded and occupied a country? Never. Dumb as Twisted. You should know better, you have actually read my posts for 9 years.
We've wasted tons of money and thousands of lives being the world police. I'm not in favor of invading a country a month like some. But I don't blindly support anything one side throws out there. Obama could invade Canada and Red would support it. Had Kennedy been a Republican he wouldn't have supported him during the Cuban missile crisis.
Treating our army like mercenaries is wise? Involving ourselves with the internal affairs of nations around the world is foolish. Whatever millions this is costing us could be spent at home. Global politics is complicated and we are blessed to be isolated from direct threats. There is always terrorism and espionage, but outside of those problems all we need is a strong national defense. Couple that with anti-terrorism efforts and a strong intelligence community and there is no need for deep and costly entangling alliances around the world. For all those Christians out there, watch the following clip of Ron Paul explaining his foreign policy views to a Christian audience. What other candidate has a true understanding of the bible and has the conviction to not exploit his faith as the main selling point of his campaign? Cain and Perry are intellectually dishonest and power mad. Romney is smart but depends on polls rather than convictions. I think Bachmann is also less interested in intellectual honesty than she is power. http://ronpaulflix.com/2011/10/ron-pauls-christian-foreign-policy-blessed-are-the-peacemakers/
