I do not mean the border patrol and Nation Guard. I mean combat ready troops patrolling here in the states….. Why won’t they just do that? I mean, they could take 10% of all deployed troops at all locations and have around 20k troops in the southern states to man the border………
They want them here.Both democrats and some republicans. Democrats want to legalize them. Democrats want their kids to be born here and grow to voting age and all of them vote democrat in order to keep getting free food and healthcare. The farmers want cheap labor to pick produce. There are many employers that want the cheap labor. That's why the employers want them here. The majority of the taxpayers don't want to pay for them. But nobody will stop them. Bush didn't do it because he didn't want to anger a large voting block. Obama will not because of the same reason. Nothing will be done. Troops are not stopping them simply for politics.
Because this is America, the country founded on allowing people to enter to better their lives? You think this is France? What are combat-ready troops supposed to do? Shoot unarmed, poverty-stricken immigrants? When did we become that country? More importantly, why does no one complain about those damn Canadians?
You do realize they can enter legally right? Though choose not to because they can save more money by crossing they way they do…Cheat the system and fly under the radar…. France or any other country has nothing to do with securing our borders. If it was simply poverty-stricken immigrants as you say, there wouldn’t be much of an issue in the drugs, weapons & murders area… However, we all know that is not the case….Lives are being lost when we could easily have combat ready troops on patrol here saving money as opposed to having them deployed overseas.
How many Canadians are flooding across the boarder, without following our laws, and then using the American social assistance system for their benifit? How many Canadians are breaking into private property to steal and murder the Americans that live and work there? Anyone can come here. We have an immigration policy that millions have followed and became Americans.
if we are just gonna be so benevolent and let people in because, well, i dont know why because, why do we even have an immigration policy. why not just throw the doors wide open and let everyone in? lets not bother to check who we are letting in. just come on down and grab your slice of the american pie. you are entitled to all we have to offer. mexican gang member or drug lord? bet you can make even more of a killin (pun intended) in your business here. with our drug policies and an open door, the sky's the limit. course, we cant discriminate, we have to let in anyone and everyone from muslim countries too. to check to see if they have any terrorist or extremist ties would be having one of pesky immigration policies again. cant do that.
Federal law prohibits this. The Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 forbids the use of the military for law enforcement. There is no army threatening to invade us in Mexico. There are huge number of criminals coming across the border. It's a law enforcement problem and they need more border patrol agents and more triple-fencing. And they need to put US employers who hire illegals in jail. If the illegals can't get work without a permit they will go through the permit process.
