It's also assuming they get that many plays in. If Oregon's offense only gets in 4-5 plays before 4th down then they are putting their defense in a bad position throughout the entire game. A fast offense looks nice on the stat sheet but it kills your defense. There's a reason Oregon has to rotate so many defensive players. LSU's offense isn't gonna show up on as many highlight reals but in terms of effectiveness and controlling the game, I would much rather have our proven offense.
Oh I know. We live and die by T.O.P, Ball Control and Defense, a package game plan that wins championships. Of course there is always they exception and because of that, Oregon has a "Chance" :thumb:
A few stats from the Auburn game, Oregon had a total of 75 yards rushing(2.3/yds./rush). Oregon avg. 6 plays per possessions, don't see a defense getting tired in 6 plays.
Man I really hope we smoke this team and show the nation the potential we see. I know there are a good number of teams that talk about how much potential they have, but I really think this team has something special in front of them. :geaux:
The original comment was that our "little" RB's can't break tackles. I disproved that. I would hope that a guy of JJ's size can break some tackles!
You're right Oregon get's tired. The thing is, it's easier to push through the fatigue when you know what you're doing, and not reacting to what someone else is doing while getting your defense reset and positioned for the next play. What most defenses have done against Oregon (when they're in their hurry up), is stick with a base defense. Using this plan caused mismatches, and caught defenders out of position. My credibility stays intake.
that's debatable. not your credibility of course i mean that it goes both ways. your offense ain't gonna know what we're doing, and will have to react accordingly.
