Wow, we have drama for the Belmont as I'll Have Another passes Bodemeister again and sets up a Triple Crown possibility.

Interesting info on the Triple Crown.

Since Affirmed became the 11th Triple Crown winner, 11 horses have won the first two legs only to come up short in the 1½-mile Belmont, the longest of the races also known as the "Test of the Champion." The most recent try came in 2008, when Big Brown was pulled up around the turn for home and did not finish. Before that, Smarty Jones was run down in the final 70 yards by Birdstone in the 2004 Belmont.

Big Brown was like a big brown finless brownfish, if you know what I mean (the kind you flush!), that was my first experience with gambling on a horse and it was a complete punch in the stomach! I could have gone the rest of my life without hearing that horses name and been just fine. We are due a triple crown winner, I'm betting the farm in 3 weeks on "I'll have another", how can you not love the name of this horse! "Big Brown", I should have known how that would turn out.......

Any other gambling degenerates out there gonna ride shotgun with me on "I'll have another"?

Tigerchick, you have that really gamblers attitude I love! Count me in on the bet, too bad I have no idea how I'll Have Another could possibly win.

I am going To the Belmont. I realized this week that the park is like a 20 minute ride for manhattan. I had no idea. I could ride my bike there easily.

It really is fun betting on the big races.....after watching The Preakness it dawned on me the announcers work at a place where you can legally gamble, and the only place of business I can think of where employees get paid a healthy salary to make losing predictions on horse races, thus, making it my dream job to one day work there......if this horse wins I will scratch someone's eyes out in celebration, probably my bf's.

Rested from missing the Preakness, Dullahan might be my bet to win.

I'll Have Another drew the 11th gate to start from, only 12 total gates.

I don't know much about horse racing and basically only pay attention for the Kentucky Derby and the last leg of the Triple Crown (if in effect). I was actually looking forward to this weekend but now will probably not even watch.
