Holliday wo the men's 100 in 10:23. The LSU men won the 400 relay. Johnson ran the 200 instead of the 100 and won it with a 20:74. There is no news on the Olympic relay team yet, won't be until the trials are over probably.
Yesterday, Mr. Holliday was doing his thing again. This time it was at the Penn Relays. http://www.flocasts.org/flotrack/coverage.php?c=250&id=14045
I'll repeat what I said on another post. Judgement day will come for Holliday on June 29. That is the date of the Olympic Trials men's 100 meters semifinals and final. For those of you who want to see it live, the final will be broadcast live at 6:49 P.M. C.S.T. on NBC. Only three spots are available, and hopefully, Xavier Carter and Trindon will get two of them, but it won't be easy. However, even if Trindon doesn't finish in the top three, he should secure a spot on the 4x100 relay team by finishing in the top six. And X-man should have no problem securing one of the three 200 spots available.
Here is the video from the SEC men's and women's 100 from a week ago. YouTube - 2008 SEC Outdoor Men's and Women's 100
There was a guy who posted, I believe his name was cparso and he said that he didnt think that Trindon would be back on the football team? Does anyone know if there is any truth to that?
I'd like the scoop on this as well. Holliday is certainly a cool asset to our football team, but he is nowhere close to as crucial to our football team as he is to our track team. If Holliday does play football for LSU in 2008, would that hurt his future track career at all, or is it not that big of a deal? Does anybody know if the LSU track coach has an opinion on this issue?
I won't speak for Parso, but I think the issue surrounds Holliday's decision to go pro or not, ala Xavier Carter. If he talks to an agent, it's adios, amigo... BTW John, this is an AWESOME post length. FWIW.
