Texans rookie Trindon Holliday out for season | Houston Texans Football | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle Having surgery on his broken thumb. Not sure how that puts you out for the season unless it's November, but it was unlikely he was going to make the cut anyway.
This is actually a pretty good deal for Trindon. He was not very likely to make this team. At least on the IR he will get paid and will still have access to the Texans staff and facilities.
They knew he wouldn't play this year, so they IR'ed him to save a practice squad spot, so they get their cake and eat it, too. The Saints did the same thing with Adrian Arrington. A player can't be taken from someone else's IR. They can be picked up off someone else's practice squad. Actually a compliment to Trindon that they don't want him anywhere but in Houston.
Well thats at least good news for him. My brother in Baton Rouge knows one of Trindon's family members and got a personal autograph for my son! He also got Chad Jones and Rahim Alem's from their grandfather. Other brother in Houston got him a personal autograph from B-G-O.
not necessarily. if it is in his joint it could require pinning. sometimes a break or fracture isnt as mundane as it sounds. i dont know the extent of the break, but the quote says requiring surgery, so it could bad.
