There was an article where he admitted that he couldn't see but he refused to wear his contacts... It was on Nola a few weeks ago...
Oh, you think you know how to win the SEC West, do you? You need to get over that you don't know all that much about it. It's not all about Les, damn it. Cameron calls the plays and the quarterback checks off based on the defense. http://theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/13448475-128/lsu-qb-brandon-harris-defends Harris attempted just 14 passes for 71 yards, and the Tigers had 47 rushes, but the quarterback said offensive coordinator Cam Cameron called “well over 25” passing plays during the game. The large amount of runs came from the quarterback checking to a running play based on defensive alignments and blitzes. “A lot of pass plays were called at the line of scrimmage, and we had some blitz looks and some things where I don’t think we could have picked it up because we had a lot of guys going out for passes,” Harris said. “So at the line of scrimmage we checked into run plays, and those run plays broke off for 14 yards. ...That’s a positive.”
I'm pretty sure LSU is going to have to be able to throw the football to win the SEC West. Yes, anyone with a brain knows this too. And I don't believe Harris checked out of passes. Again, good soldier, if he checked out of pass plays to run the ball against 10 man fronts he needs to be benched. We can sit back and watch this unfold, but if LSU wants to beat Alabama, 50 runs and 14 passes ain't gonna cut it.
And we will. Harris said it on the record with his coaches and teammates listening. We ran for 266 friggin' yards. No need to be shy about running the ball. Call him a liar if you wish, but I think he's doing what a quarterback is supposed to be doing.
And depleted. I don't think we will need to air it out to beat Auburn, but if ever there was a game to get Harris some chances throwing the rock this would be the game, because it's not just their secondary that sucks, they can't defend the zone read either. Which is kind of surprising considering that's all they face in practice.
So you mean to tell me he is given the freedom as a sophmore to change plays at the line of scrimmage? I don't know if I would call him a liar, more like fed information.
It's basic training for a quarterback. You have to let them do it at some point to see if they can do it well. Modern defenses in the SEC are sophisticated and set plans have to be changed if the defense is set up to stop it.
