He played one play in the McNeese game. He cleared out the cornerback on the play that Ferguson missed his block and Guice got dumped. Quinn didn't play in Starkville. He may not be completely recovered form his neck injury.
Does anyone remember last year when he took that vicious hit to the head, may have been against bama but I know it was a nasty hit from behind I want to say. I wonder if this is residual from that hit?
it wouldn't surprise me if the coaches tried to protect him for a while. Especially in a game where the plan is to run the ball. This is not a guy they want to lose early for no good reason.
This made me chuckle, it's almost as if you are suggesting there could be a game where the plan is to pass the ball a lot. Last year we got beat 41-7 by Auburn and only threw the ball a whopping 24 times.
It was discovered after last season Quinn had vision problems. Hence the dropped passes. He has had Lasik since then so now his vision should be as perfect as the Werewolf of London's hair.
Did you miss Mettenberger totally? Or Russell? And why was that? Because the quarterback totally broke down. The same quarterback we played in a similar situation at State. The plan was not to put the game all on Harris' back when we have a beast lining up behind him. Neither Les nor Harris could afford another game like Auburn 2014.
Do you want LSU to win the SEC West? If the answer is yes, LSU is going to have to throw the football more. All this coddling bullshit needs to stop. Les needs to get over 2008, and quit playing scared. 70 percent run to pass will work against Auburn. It's not gonna work against Alabama, and the only way to get Brandon Harris ready for games like that is to actually let him throw the ball in live situations. No one is asking for an Art Briles offense, but a tad bit more balance would be nice, and it would help the running game way more than running the football 70 or 80 percent of the time.
