I would say yes his job is in jeopardy especially if he falsified information to protect his players. Also, I wonder how Arkansas feels right about now, the NCAA had a chance to suspend these guys indefinitely, and didn't because they felt that it would hurt the ratings of the Sugar Bowl. They look totally crooked right now.
Two game suspension and a $250k fine. I suspect the Buckeyes will be able to handle Akron & Toledo with the Sweater Vest in the press box. opcorn:
The cover up or lack there of (sarcasm) is far worse than the crime. OSU's self imposed penalty seem very weak to what the offense is for a violation of this nature. I would agree that this should be a firing offense, but Michigan and everyone else in the B10 is so far behind OSU that Sweatervest gets a pass.
tOSU gave sweatervest a pass with the two game suspension. The NCAA has yet to act. I would agree the cover-up is now worse than the crimes committed by the players.... ain't that usually the case! The difference here is someone was diligent enough to find the "smoking email" linking Tressel's point of awareness to the problem.... something they couldn't find with Stoops at Oklahoma, Carrol at USC, Davis at UNC, Chizik at Auburn... the list goes on. I would hope, now that the NCAA has an actual FACT to work with, that they step in and "up" the penalty. Allowing schools to self-discipline themselves is hardly the answer.
