He is a good back but probably would be jammed up here with the two we have committed now. It will be good to see him as a feature back at bama. It will be even better watching him get buried by the likes of Davenport, Minter, and Mingo. :thumb:
Bama got a really good back, and a third RB was not high on our needs scale. This isn't over, but I expect him to stick with Bama.
What I find interesting about this one is the way the video conference recruiting is laughed at with some other schools but it made a difference in this one. His mom was really into talking with CNS friday.
What's even funnier is that Urban Cryer was quoted as saying it was "silly" yet he became the poster child for text messaging recruits like a little school girl. Urban, I think video conferencing is a bit more professional than text messages. Just saying. :thumb:
LSU's latest commitment, Chris Faulk, gave his verbal to Les during a video conference. I don't see a big deal in using what the rules allow. If they make rules against it like texting, coaches will find other ways to do so within guidelines.
I really do not get why he would commit right now. First, he tells Saban he is committed but wants to take other visits and Saban was fine with that. Now, he says.... TigerRag - RECRUITING: Richardson to Alabama or Not?
Perhaps he is saying the same thing to other schools as well and just inserting their name? Another good case for an early signing period. If he wants recruiting to be over, it would help him. If he just wants a free trip and a weekend of football on our dime without consideration of coming here, than it would help us. Recruiting is getting pretty complicated.:insane:
I am beginning to wonder about this video chat stuff; beginning to sound like a dating service. If arky is recruiting do they link to WOOME.com? Do they use zoom lenses and mood lighting?
Bingo. Burton Scott was doing the same thing last season and Oklahoma basically canceled his trip for him. They let Julio Jones and other uncommitted recruits come but Burton Scott (who had already committed to us) was told to stay home.
