So much for that Heisman. Although he did kill us on a couple of big pass plays when we had blown assignments. Unstoppable. The difference in the game. Bama's running attack decidedly better than LSU's. Our D-lineman undersized. Our linebackers are an issue. All the things we heard all week long. Uh, not quite. If somebody told all the pundits that LSU would be held to 6 points in regulation, NOBODY would have given us the nod to win the game. Here are his carries: Note that 18 times out of the 23 times he carried it, he got 4 yards or less. That's pretty damn good. -6 -5 -3 0 0 1 1 1 2 2 2 2 2 3 3 4 4 4 9 10 11 18 24
I beg to differ. Throw in all of his stats (runs, receptions, and returns) and how much he pushed a damn strong football teams Defense all night. I think he is the best player in college football. Unfortunately for him he doesn't play on the best team in college football. GEAUX!
:LSU231:LSU!:tigereye::geauxtige:helmet::tigerhead!twocrystals! and might I add..... :crystal: here we come!
23 carries for 89 yards and one of those was for 24 yards. I'd say we did a number on their running game which only tallied 96 yards on 31 carries. In fact we outgained them with on 148 yards on 41 carries. I'd say we should silence a few critics now.
Trent richardson is a stud... Best back I have seen in awhile... Strong... LSU won.... So our defense are also studs.
He's great. He couldn't help them win this game, however. When they needed him most, he could not come through. That you cannot dispute. LSU scored 6 points in regulation. 6 points. A Trent Richardson led offense can't score 9? Sorry, but that was failure.
