"Tremendous play by Jefferson"....words that have never been typed on TF. Of course, that was another Jefferson.
Watching the replay, the play was even more outstanding that it looked in real time. He not only engages the receiver with perfect timing, he causes the bobble and then has the wherewithal to make the interception.
For a second ,I thought I had missed something. all I heard live was the last minuite or so, WWL made it up to Nashville .My favorite station AM radio 870. The 1st thing I heard was "My Goodness "and I started to turn the radio off , but I just could not do it . There was so much pain in that voice , pain like I have not heard in a Country Song in years . Then like in the great Roy Orbison song "RUNNING SCARED " they were talking about how the gators would not get up time was running out , more pain , how wrong that was . But then they told about the 10 seconds being put back on the time clock , oh my , more pains as they were counting down the seconds , 5, 4 , 3 , 2 and then like the woman in the song , the "W" turned around and started back to us , . The FG ,He made it , and oh my, what a turn around from the "Blues" to "Happy Times Again" . A great kicker and a new Hero , can only hope that kentucky's defense is not better or as good as The gators were last night , . If it is (Kentucky's Defense ) then we are in another PILE O'TROUBLE . Geaux Tigers !!! Saved us from being tired with Ark at the bottom of the SEC West, and while we are looking up we must remember our Offense is better ,that is what we are told , and as I look to Kentucky I understand their D is not as good as ours , so I will just make a fans best pick . LSU 35 Kentucky 24 (Good LUCK on That ) Things are looking up MSully is pickin out a bit of them "South Memphis Cowboy Blues " Oh my , BTW , a Bama fan was under the shade tree with another young Nashville songwriter and my self FRIDAY EVENING . He asked me about one of my licks , I played it back for him , and told him it was the Rhythm from Louisiana . Ole John, he is 87, shook his head and said , "That Louisana swamp sound .Man I like that . " I said "John you gonna really love this " I picked it one more time , then as I started to play it again , I spoke these great lines , "G-E-A-U-X T-I-G-E-R-S GO TIGERS GO " and from the bottom of my LSU heart I mean that !!!
