False. Sabans best offense there by a lot. Will put up points even on our defense. That's why we need to fix our offense now.
It's definitely his most balanced offense. I like what they do and wish our offense was similar. They're a power running team first and foremost, but they have very creative blocking schemes. And if you stop their running attack, then they fall back on their short passing game, which eventually loosens up the running lanes. And when they see a matchup they like, they'll go deep. They are what we could be offensively, if we could ever develop a QB.
Their offense isn't great. They scored one touchdown on us last year in 2 games and it was in the last quarter after our d had been on the field all game. What they do is take care of business against weak teams and don't make a ton of mistakes. This will be a winnable game if LSU plays LSU football, even if Bama plays Bama football. I read the other day about Saban whining when other teams run a hurry up offense, maybe we should do that to piss him off. I love seeing him explode on the sideline, it's like when the bad guy gets his in movies. Don't overlook A&M, that crowd will be pumped and they have a good offense. We haven't played well on the road all season.
Bama has had an easy road, and it continues. We will be more batte-tested. I still think back to six sacks against Bama against WKY. So, I believe we punish McCarron they way he hasn't been punished this year. As far as our offense...a glimmer of hope.
Mizzou without Franklin is worse than Ark without Tyler Wilson, just sayin. Bama catching major breaks. Can you imagine what LSU woulda done to SC if Shaw went out?
It's really the ease in which Bama is doing this. It will forever have one and all looking at the schedule, wondering why Alabama doesn't have the 49ers on it. Gary Pinkel made the statement after the game, "this may be the best team he has ever seen. I don't see a weakness." We will see, but each passing game, you can see the growth and momentum starting to gel. Good game on the bayou. I knew you had it in you.
Regardng the scheduling this year, how did we end up with SC? Thought I had read somewhere that they weren't originally on the schedule? And Bama gets the long straw with Mizzou. In any case, as tigerpub said above, we will be more battle-tested, which in the long run is better. Perhaps it's better we ended up with SC, as it has seemingly woken us up. That may not have happened with a weaker team, given our track record there...
This is why I believe we need better scheduling early. The Oregon game last year set the tone win or lose.
