LSU CB Tre White has allowed an 8.3 QB rating on passes thrown his direction in 2016. Best of any Power 5 CB.

Yes he has been, he's created an island for himself that QB's are staying far away from.

TDWhite is great as a DB. Really scares me as a punt returner. Cant complain when he goes backwards 20 yrds then scores but beyond that he always bobbles the ball or when letting the ball hit the ground instead of getting out of the way he usually around the ball as it is rolling. Could that possibly be a coaching point?

First off, welcome to TigerFan. I would say yes, its coaching. But when you've got a guy who demonstrates a knack for the big play, I would think coaches are a little hesitant to try to coach the gambling mentality out of them. Tyran Mathieu wouldn't have been the Honey Badger if he had been coached to make sure, fundamental tackles instead of going for the ball so often.

White is living up to the reputation of the 18 jersey. It's hard to argue that any CB in CFB has been better so far this year and the stats support that. As Aranda implements more of his defense and the players get more comfortable with the lingo, etc. I expect that White will have more opportunities to make big plays like he's already done. I bet there are plenty of NFL teams who are licking their chops. Lastly, what percent of his play is due to the fact that he did stay for his senior year? If he were in an NFL camp would he stand out like he is now? I doubt it.
