There’s human trafficking all right. Much is forced labor in fishing, farming and yes some sex trafficking. The greatest amount of trafficking is in forced labor (farm &fisheries). Another trafficking center is restaurant kitchens, especially Asian restaurants. People are smuggled in from China and have to work out their fees in kitchens. What is problematic is the trope that every sex worker is a trafficking victim or that every police bust is to break up trafficking rings. If you look at the actual statistics you’ll find that anyone is charged with trafficking. Remember when Robert Kraft was arrested in a “trafficking bust”? Well all the women had papers including massage licenses and there were only soliciting charges laid. Cops generally pick on the most vulnerable and use them for generating publicity and funding from anti trafficking organizations. You can have an opinion about sex work and workers but most aren’t victims
