While I think that the students need to show some class & quit embarassing the entire fanbase, I also agree that the administration should comes across as terribly hypocritical in asserting that "tradition matters". Tiger Stadium was built on tradition, but they have all but abandoned that concept in favor of commercialism and a watered-down gameday experience, severely undermining what made it such a great venue to begin with in the process. So, find a new choice of words, assholes.

Ticket prices that force the rowdy fans to the upper deck or out of the stadium, embarassing amounts of advertisements dominating the scoreboards, ads running on the ribbon boards, no attempt to rectify the traffic situation, forcing people to pay to tailgate, etc. I understand the basic economics of what it takes to maintain a top-tier program, but there's a balance that can be achieved.
