no excuses for the drops, but he did have a broken finger.

but either way, it's all water under a bridge. We couldn't have won with Parcells there anyway.

Why not? Every other team he's ever coached has. In fact, the Cowgirls is the only team he wasn't able to take to at least the Conference Championship game.

I don't know who your team is, but:

    1. I guarantee they don't have more Superbowls than the Cowboys, so let's get that straight 1st and foremost while you disrespect the "Cowgirls"

    and

    2. unless you're a Patriots fan, your team doesn't have a better record than us now...

but to the point at hand, the team just didn't respond to Bill. Too many egos to go around one locker room.

He did build the cupboard, but they def needed someone else to reap the benefits from it, b/c they would still be in the 5-4 range right now with him.

all b/c he was too stubborn to say the word "Terrell" and instead said the word "player".

Don't have one. Never did have a favorite NFL team.

And it's been almost as long ago as the last Bama MNC.

    Dude, relax.

    Completely irrellevant until January.

If they were losing, "all because he wouldn't say Terrell", their problem wasn't the coach.

I didn't mean it literally. What I meant is that in today's age of professional athletics, the old-school disciplinary coach doesn't work anymore.

Coughlin being another good example. The Giants quit on him every time the going gets tough.

it's one thing to have attention to detail like Belichek, but another ot be a complete tool about it like Parcells and others.

Parcells didn't completely click with the Cowboys' players. I don't know if that's a condemnation of him or the players, or probably both. Regardless, he left them with an unusually good roster (not always the case: see Jets) and some legit playmakers on both sides of the ball.

how so? ask the Dolphins how irrelevant their record is right now.

ask the Colts how irrelevant home field is, considering they will lose in Foxboro this year.

EDIT: to NLMD, very well said...

Homefield is entirely irrelevant in the NFC. Hell, even Vick beat GB in Lambeau! :hihi:

Seriously, in the NFC, right now, it's the Cowboys and everybody else. With TO acting like the 2nd best WR in football, Barber/Jones working out, and the defense not losing because of their less-than-stellar secondary, it's a one dog race.

Green Bay is flying under the radar. If they can finish with home field throughout (and their schedule is not that difficult), then Dallas would have to play GB at Lambeau in January. Advantage GB.

The playoffs don't start until January.
If Brady goes down and they drop a few, that Indy loss to NE has become pretty irrellevant.
Who has the best record doesn't matter at all right now. There are no midseason awards for having a good record.
