"I spoke with someone knowledgable of the situation, and he said that it's not a done deal. I asked whether I would be inaccurate running with the story that he could be going to L.A. and he said it would not be inaccurate to say that."

That's probably about right. I'm almost convinced that my lifelong franchise is heading straight back to the late 80s, except without the winning percentage.

I'll always be a Yankee fan, but I'm pretty upset with the way they handled Joe Torre. Looks like the Red Sox fans have finally gotten their wish. The Yankees will be their bitch for a while.
