So Texas has one conference championship in that span, right? And they are ahead of USC, Oklahoma, LSU...? :hihi:

It doesn't surprise me that some writer would be a homer but the fact that someone actually took the time to write that and probably thinks people enjoy it is amusing.

    1. Tebow
    2. RB Moreno, Georgia
    3. OL Smith, Alabama
    4. WR Harvin, FL
    5. OL Oher, Ole Miss
    6. SS Berry, Tenn
    7. QB Stafford, Georgia
    8. OL Luigs, Arkansas
    9. MLB Ellerbe, Georgia
    10. DT Marks, Auburn

The best defensive lineman in the SEC is Hardy at Ole Miss, not Marks (although Hardy did recently suffer a stress fracture that will keep him sidelined for 6 to 8 weeks).

The best LB in the SEC is Spikes at Florida. However, Ellerbe might be as good as McCoy at TN.

Other than that, I think the rest of those guys are the best in the SEC at their positions.

I have a feeling that the revised, post-regular season list will feature an LSU player or two...not to worry.

It's based soley on winning percentages. It has nothing to do with championships.

Apparently it has nothing to do with strength of schedule either. Meaningless list! :geaux:

I agree red, that is just the weirdest deal and it's not as if it's happened just a couple times.

That list is comical, obviously written by someone that knows jack about CFB.

Him losing 2 games with his ridiculous amount of talent proves he's a horrible coach.

Stoops, Meyer, Richt, Tressell, Carroll loses 2 games with similar amounts of talent is irrellevant due to their absolute awesomeness as head coaches in college football.

You forgot being put on the cover of Forbes keeps you in the conversation as awesome coach, despite dropping 6 games the year before.

The only real issue I have with it Stafford at 7 - the guy is easily the most overrated player in the entire conference.

I don't blame them for putting Sen'Derrick Marks ahead of RJF because RJF was inelligible all of the regular season last year. But you are right, when it comes down to it, RJF will be way better than Marks.

Tyson Jackson doesn't deserve to be on here, and I can't think of any other LSU player that truly deserves to be either.
