4 Tigers get some recognition. 2. Jackson 3. Beckwith 4. Byrd 7. Johnson http://www.houmatoday.com/article/2...ts&title=The_top_12_senior_players_in_the_SEC
i got a feeling kirston pittman may be on that list before the season ends. dude came on real strong mid season last year. watch for double teams on rjf and tyson jackson, leaving one on one with kirston.
JMO, but there's a few non-LSU seniors that would make for good debate on any such list. For example, where is Anthony Parker from UT on this list? This list's credibility is seriously compromised without AP being listed. No way he's not in the top 10, let alone the top 12. Another example is WR Kenny McKinley at USC over D. Byrd. Though I have mad respect for Byrd, McKinley could easily be argued to be a stronger senior-pick from an NFL perspective. Also, no slight intended against Darryl beckwith, but either Jerrod Mayo (UT) ot Dannel Ellerbe (UGA) would IMHO be deserving of consideration before Beckwith. (This assumes that Brandon Spikes at UF is not a junior, correct? .... he's a soph, right?)
Spikes is a junior and there are a few others like Smith, Harvin, and Stafford that could be top ten picks next year.
I felt that Byrd came on last year to be a very clutch receiver. He'll be the man this year--if our QB's can get him the ball.
